My wife just got a new job and will be in Orlando from the 10th of January till the 24th.

They are giving her the option of staying in Orlando thru that weekend or coming home. If she stays, she will keep her rental car.

I was debating taking my 5 year old down for the weekend. At most, if we both play hokey Friday and leave Thursday night, we will get 2 days at a park.

I have been to WDW years ago with my older kids. This younger one has never been.

Just looking for reactions from the board.

Well, if you focus on MK, you should have a really good time. You can save money on the tickets, because you won't be park hopping.

I would do it. (I love WDW!) You could stay at the all-stars or pop century, for cheap. Enjoy the disney ambiance and EMH, too.

Don't just sit in front of your computer, make that phone call now, 1-800-828-0228! That's the WDW Travel Co.

Have fun!

Marie

Welcome to the DIS. Then let me say "GO FOR IT!!!!".
Go to WDW and have a fantastic time. Don't let an opportunity like this pass you by. You don't know what tomorrow will bring.

Go to the Mouse whenever given the opportunity. ;) Even a quick few day trip is worth it. We drove down from Philadelphia one labor day to stay two days in the park. I think you already know the answer. Have fun!!!!

I have to agree. When will an oportunity like this come up again. Go and have a great time. And welcome to the DIS!

Go for it! In fact why not play hooky for a couple of days.

My DH has a conference in Orlando in May. DD and I will be ditching school for 2.5 days so that I can surprise her with a trip. The fact that we an take advantage of DH's free hotel room for a 5 day week-end is too good to pass up. DD and I will enjoy the parks while DH attends his conference.

Yes, of course! Go, go, go and have fun!

I say, "Go for it!" Have a great time!!

Definitely do this!!! I took advantage of my husband being in Florida in business frequently (many years ago), and took my daughter down for 2-3 days at a time. We were also lucky to have frequent flyer miles, so our flights were also free. But any time my husband was in the Tampa/Orlando area, we joined him. Unfortunately, he went to work on the weekdays, but my daughter and I went to DISNEYWORLD!!!

it would be totally ludicrous to pass up a most golden opportunity!
