First of all, does anyone know the cost for upgrading from free dining to deluxe dining (both for kids and adults) and whether there are any caveats associated with these upgrades?

I am thinking about upgrading to Deluxe Dining for our September bounceback trip, but wanted to figure out the cost. The primary reason we are thinking about it would be so that we could eat at a lot more of the 2 point dining locations (Flying Fish, Luau, Narcoosee's, Mickey's BBQ, etc.). Thanks!

but adult upgrade was $30 each per night

could you please explain the deluxe dining what do you get extra from the regular dining??

For the Deluxe Plan you get 3 meals (can be eaten anywhere-table or counter) and 2 snacks per day. The regular plan is 1 Table Service credit, 1 Counter Service credit and 1 snack credit per day.

I would do it in a heartbeat, just for the reason of dining at some of the higher end places I have not yet. Plus with the deluxe each person in the room res gets a refillable mug. That could save a lot right there. :)
Plus don't diners get the appy included with their meal too in the deluxe?

i feel this would take up a lot of eating time and a lot of food!!!

I agree. I the DDP with 2 meals a day and one snack is great for my family. Of course there will be days when we get a few more snacks, but as a rule, we always have snacks left over and end up getting the last day.
