Should we try Tusker House?

We are planning to eat at flame tree BBQ twice on our next trip however i cant decide if to swap one to Tusker house. I have read mixed reviews about Tusker house so do you think we should eat at Tusker house where we have never eaten before or stick to Flame tree BBQ where we have eaten before and enjoyed it?

Ok, I voted for yes. We eat there almost every trip. Of course we don't eat that flame tree, so maybe we should give that a try too.

Two words why I will probably never try Flame Tree and eat at Tusker house: air conditioning!!!! I'd give it a try- food is good!

GO!! The food is really good. If you are looking for something a little different. Here is a link to my counter service review with pics of some of the food at Tusker House. The other poster was right! If you are going during Hot weather months, go to Tusker, because the a/c helps bring you back to life.

YES! This is one of my favorite places to eat as the menu offers a break from the typical fast food fare at alot of the other restaurants. My particular favorite is their chicken sandwich, and their wraps are good, too. There's a menu for kids, too, if they are not adventerous food types.

And if it's not too hot out, try and get a table in the back patio area. It's quieter, has some shade, and there's a soundtrack back there that always makes me chuckle.

I say you should give it a try! I now prefer Flame Tree, but Tusker House is also very good. I would get the 1/2 chicken and my DH would get the salmon. All this talk of AC makes me think about going there in August.

Yes eat at both. Both of them have excellent food, but the air at Tusker is nice. The Rotissie Chicken is real good at TH

I love Tusker House - we had such great service there too altho its just a CS! I enjoyed the chicken too.

Heck yes! Tusker House is awesome! The spit-fire chicken is to die for. I'd recomend TH over FTBBQ.

Flame Tree is my favorite CS in all of WDW. Tusker House would be a good 2nd choice. I guess my real vote is do both.

We had breakfast at Tusker house and will certainly be returning, I have heard the lunch is good as well

Afraid not.....it's 'open air' seating, and if you have ever been to AK, there is not much air! ack!

I agree with Java! Our entire family loves TH. I always have the chicken. The salmon might be trying to call me but I can't hear it over the chicken, or maybe that's the carrot cake. MY DD's BF loves the chicken sandwich. DH and DD love the salmon. The carrot cake and chocolate cake are wonderful. If it's not too terribly hot we try to sit outside, near the bar, and time our dining to catch the entertainment. Just a really great place. Hope you enjoy your meal and have a great time!
Now I'm completely fixated on TH chicken and I'm facing a tomato sandwich, which is normally a good thing but it's suddenly lost it's appeal.

This was our fave CS! The food was very good, especially the chocolate cake. It tasted moist and fresh and not that nasty pre-made defrosted type that many places had, it had a homemade taste to it. The Africian entertainers are amazing and so kind! My kids were fascinated with their music and dancing as well as the costumes and they were so nice to my kids. I wasn't excited about AK before I went there, having been to several world-class zoos (boy was I ignorant!) and I LOVED it! Tusker House has fresh food, but it is hard to get a table.
