Trying to decide whether not to take 2-year-old DD to Cirque with us or not. We will be taking DS 4 and DS 6. I think they could hopefully sit still for the show, and I think they will like it, but I'm not sure about DD. Will we be totally miserable trying to keep her sitting down and quiet the whole time? Plus, I don't want to ruin it for anyone else if she starts making noise during a quiet part of the show. Anyone take their toddler and have a good experience?

We are going to this show for the first time tomorrow night! Our kids are older (8,10,12) but I'll let you know if we see lots of families with little ones and how they behave. Hey, for all I know my dd's may act up.......even at there age!

There are clips of the show on the cirque website you could watch and see if 2yo. dd seems interested. You know your child best. Do YOU think she could handle show?

sorry, I guess I really didn't help much......

Whatever you decide to do have a great trip!! :sunny:

The show is great and very entertaining, although I think 2 is a bit young. But on the other hand you know your child best and if you think your child can sit through it without ruining the show for you and others then I say go for it. One of the best shows I have ever seen.

Just my opinion, but 2 does seems a bit young.

I've seen Cirque in NYC. We loved it! (no kids, just DH & I).

And I have 3 kids - 2, 3, and 5. If we went again, I would bring the 3 and 5 (My 5 would love it!), but we would not bring the 2, if we could make suitable arrangements. He would NOT sit still (funny, though, my 5 would have when she was 2, so it all depends, I guess....). I am one that would have a hard time leaving one child out, so I know that it is a hard decision.

I would love to hear from some who did bring a 2 yearold -- to hear how it wnet. I guess that would be most helpful to you.

Anyhow, hope my feedback helped a bit.

OK, everyone, thanks for the advice. Here's what I've decided to do: I decided to go ahead and get Kids Nite Out baby-sitting for DD (2) - She's a little wiggle worm (the girl changes her clothes like 10 times a day!). I showed DS (6) and DS (4) the video clip of La Nouba online (which was really neat by the way - I highly recommended it for anyone undecided about buying tickets) and then showed them photos of Simba's Cub House at AKL. They both decided they wanna go to Simba's, although 6-year-old thought La Nouba looked cool too. So, I guess DH and I will get a little time to ourselves! We have Gold Plan booked, so boys can use child activities centers unlimited, although I hate to waste the Cirque tickets. I do want to be able to enjoy the show though.http://www.cirquedusoleil.com

Thanks again everyone!
