Should we switch from BC to YC?

Hey guys! I have a work conference the first week of December at BC/YC so got a terrific rate of $175/night for those hotels! After the conference, my DH and kids will come down for an additional 7 nights. We are booked at BC right, just because I thought it was a bit more lively on that side and the decor was a bit more "kid friendly." I read yesterday that the YC CMs are telling people that BC will undergo rehab starting in October...new carpets, etc...and then YC next year. That made me think we should consider switching to YC? I know refurb's must be done, but I just wasn't sure how disruptive it would be...what do you guys think?

You are right about the BC being more lively but I have stayed at both resorts and both are very nice. I stayed at the YC during a rehab actually and besides from some scaffolding being around there it was perfectly fine.

I would stay with BC - just ask when you check in for a rehab room - or one away from the rehab.

disney generally cuts off the part they are rehabing - but in an open hotel that may be more difficult
