I just spoke to my guide and we're adding on 100 points at BLT, now I'm a little confused over the contract situation as we're in the UK, but wandered if anyone could help.

He said it's his last day today and he's on holiday until a week
Monday and if we wanted to lock in the price we needed to pay the deposit today (just incase the deals change while he's away, which they may well do next weekend)
We're in the UK and going to sign our contract when we are over in Disney in 6 weeks, we then have to pay the rest of the deposit.
Does this sound right? I've read about others holding onto their contract incase a better offer comes out but our guide stated we would be locked in now. :confused3

Should we wait?

I think that you can commit today to lock in the price. If the price goes down before you visit disney or after the webcast etc, I believe that you can then have your contract re-written with the new prices? It is probably worth confirming with your guide though...

Sounds to me like he is trying to push you into buying today. You don't have to only deal with your Guide, you can call while he is on vacation and talk to the Guide that is covering for him.

Your situation is a little different because you are in the UK. Disney can't sell to you unless you are inside the US, resale Brokers don't have that restriction.

I spoke to my guide again and he confirmed that if the price changes before we get to disney they will re-write the contract and go with the lower price.

We could sign here in the UK (no need to be in Disney to buy DVC) it's just they are offering $2 extra off per point to sign in resort.

Thanks
