Should we rent a car or get a taxi from the Airport?

I would like to hear your opinions on this. We're debating now on whether we should just rent a car (we may take a day trip to a Disney park too or Sea World), or rent a taxi. We'll need round trip transportation to and from the airport anyway.

It all depends on where you are staying,, We tend to play at the resorts and not venture away from them when we are there,, but usually arrange to have a few days away from resorts to do other things, that we would need a car for. No point in renting a car to sit in a car park,,lol. So we have a limo or taxi take us to the resort hotel,, and rent a car in the middle of the trip if we need one, then deliver the rent car as we are leaving for our flight home at the end of the trip.

go to www.mousesavers.com and play with the rental car rates and see what works for you. We always rent a car because we like the freedom it gives us to eat meals offsite, visit other places and drive to the parks, but I know many people use limos and towncars. Its really more a personal thing.

I completely agree about renting a car. It usually works out to be around the same price as taking a cab or limo, perhaps a little cheaper and gives you WAY more freedom!

We ALWAYS rent a car. We really like the flexibility a car gives us. I wouldn't do it without a car.

I've done both. A taxi one way is about $40 incl tip. So that's already $80. I'd do the math as other have suggested. A rental car is probably the way to go especially if you can get by with a small one.
