Can anyone convince me to keep my PS for the Luau at Poly? The quality of the food is less of an issue than the show. How much time is left of the "original" luau they used to do before Lilo and Stitch?

Unfortunately, I can't provide a favorable opinion of the Luau. There have recently been several threads on this same topic and most of the opinions are negative. We attended this show in August '03 and were very disappointed in the show. It was actually boring at times and VERY corny. We attended the old show years ago and that was much more entertaining and authentic. They use to put the emphasis on the dancing, but now the emphasis has shifted to some silly, contrived plot. I can't even remember the story line, it was so lame! I wish I had known about these boards before we visited, because the night of the Luau was our only waste of time/money.

Lilo and Stitch are not a part of the current luau show. If they were it would probably be an improvement. We saw it in May and were very disappointed. The food was okay, but as another poster said the storyline was flat out lame. I wouldn't waste my time or money to see it again.

We went 5 year's ago so this is a little old.We enjoyed the show and the food we really didn't care for.We still think we got our money's worth snd didn't feel like it was a waste of our dollars. That said we love the HDDR and go each time we visit WDW,we enjoy the food and show much more.I think you may need to experience Luau and form your opinion. If you have the opportunity in the future go to the HDDR I think you will love it.:wave2:

Just to let you know, the show has been revamped recently. The show danny1649 saw is not the same show that you will see now.

We saw the new show and enjoyed it. The beginning was like a play kind of corny but I enjoyed it. The dancing was great and the food was okay. I really liked the salad and ribs.
