ADR date is coming up in a little over a week, so I am trying to finalize our plans. It will be myself, DH, DS(13), DD(9). We never stay at a park all day or go back in the evening, so most of our TS will be for lunch. Also, we have never had a TS dining plan, we usually just do QS meals.

Day 1 (Arrival)
Lunch - QS @ resort
Dinner - TS @ Portobellos
(We always do DTD our first day)

Day 2 - AK
Lunch TS @ Yak & Yeti
Dinner QS - will probably decide then

Day 3 - MK
Lunch QS @ MK
Dinner TS @ Planet Hollywood
(Wanted Liberty Tree for our TS but it will be closed when we go)

Day 4 - Epcot
Lunch TS @ Coral Reef
Dinner QS - decide then

Day 5 - HS
Lunch - QS @HS
Dinner - 50s Prime Time
(We are either staying all day or coming back because I really want to see Fantasmic for the fist time!!!)

Day 6 - MK
Breakfast TS @ Chef Mickeys
Lunch - maybe later lunch @ BOG??
Dinner - QS - probably @ resort
(We have never done a breakfast at WDW)

Thanks for any input!!!

You have one too many QS on your list, but I wouldn't pay OOP for one until you get to the end and see what credits you have left. Is your DD9 a ight eater? She will have to order off the kid's menu unless you have made her a Disney adult. All but one of your ADRs are a la carte, so you may want to check the kid's menus to see if she will be satisfied with what they offer.

I wouldn't eat at Chef Mickeys. It has gotten consistently bad reviews. If you want breakfast on your MK Day, consider Crystal Palace at 8 am before the park opens. Or go for late breakfast and skip or snack lunch.

Are there medical, or personal reasons why you haven't been in the parks at night?

At first I thought it was because you had little ones, then re read that they were 9 and 13.

I an trying to wrap my head around the idea that your kids have never seen Wishes, Illuminations, MSEP, or Fantasmic. If long days don't work for you, have you considered a lazy resort day, followed by an evening at a park to take in some night time activities?

Forgive my nosiness. You can tell me to take a flying leap if you want.

Dinner - TS @ Portobellos - never tried but heard good reviews

Day 2 - AK
Lunch TS @ Yak & Yeti We like it here but like Tusker House better
Dinner QS - will probably decide then

Day 3 - MK
Lunch QS @ MK
Dinner TS @ Planet Hollywood never tried it in Disney because we can go anytime near our house
(Wanted Liberty Tree for our TS but it will be closed when we go)

Day 4 - Epcot
Lunch TS @ Coral Reef This doesn't get the best reviews but we enjoyed our meal here and are going again in August!
Dinner QS - decide then

Day 5 - HS
Lunch - QS @HS
Dinner - 50s Prime Time This was pretty good to me. My husband didn't like it though. With that said, we are doing it again in August before we cross it off our list.
(We are either staying all day or coming back because I really want to see Fantasmic for the fist time!!!)

Day 6 - MK
Breakfast TS @ Chef Mickeys I hear breakfast is better than dinner. We didn't like our dinner. Characters are great though. Personally, I"m not a huge fan of breakfast because it takes up time away from the parks!
Lunch - maybe later lunch @ BOG?? We like lunch at BOG!
Dinner - QS - probably @ resort
(We have never done a breakfast at WDW)

DD is a very light eater and very picky! Kids menu is actually perfect for her!! I may try to have her share some meals with me so we can save some credits.

You know, I don't really know why we don't do evenings. I think it's more my DH that doesn't like to. I think I may try to talk him into it cause we have never seen any fireworks or anything. If he doesn't want to, maybe I will take the kids myself!!!

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I will definitely take another look at our plans!

We eat large lunch some days, certainly when eating in Parks for buffets or dinner packages.

Isn't Planet Hollywood undergoing major changes??

We enjoy Coral Reef. Have always enjoyed our lunch and never had poor service.

And since you want free advice (I'll offer $.02), I'd change Yak & Yeti to Tusker House and eliminate Chef Mickey on your last day. Then Be Our Guest becomes your last day meal. Or, depending on the way you tour, maybe consider Sanaa for lunch after AK and see a few more animals on the Savannah.

Only because you might not be aware - there is a Fantasmic! dinner package to get you better seats (that would likely eliminate your 50's Prime Time ADR).

I would skip Planet Hollywood...it is undergoing major renovations, not to be done until 2016.

I did hear about Planet Hollywood but I can't info as to when it starts or if it wil actually be in the process when we are there in September. Does anyone know?

I'd skip Planet Hollywood and put Raglan Road in it's place.

Instead of Chef Mickey, try either 'Ohana or 1900 Park Fare. Chef Mickeys is just ... bad (imo). If you can get a pre park opening reservation for Crystal Palace, that would be my choice.

I've been reading reviews, and it seems the consensus is that Chef Mickey's is not a great dining establishment as Pfau says. Many restaurants have varied opinions, seems like Chef Mickey is always the same. I'd suggest Ohana as well.

Thank you everyone for your advice!!! I have totally changed our plans, thanks to some of your great advice! First of all, we added an extra day, I talked to DH about staying evenings for fireworks, etc..., and we decided to totally skip a breakfast. (The more we thought about it, none of us are very big breakfast eaters, so we won't waste time & money on it.) I'm so excited about the plans we have. ADR date is in 5 days! Please let me know what you think!!

The only thing I'm thinking about changing is, on our Epcot day, having DH & DS(13) go to Coral Reef while I take DD(9) to Akershus. While I would love to go to Coral Reef, I really think my DD would LOVE to have lunch with the Princesses!!!!!

Thanks in advance for any input!!!!

Love the looks of your revised plan - I'd do that itinerary myself!! I hope you get all the places & times to your liking (I definitely think you can - none are crazy in demand and your party of 4 shouldn't be too tough)
