We currently live in SoCal. We have annual passes and go to Disneyland every few months. We have made plans to go to Florida for a weeks vacation in WDW with the grandparents in July, and there is no change in those plans.
However, it looks like we will also be moving this summer back to the East Coast. I was thinking of doing a big goodbye to Disneyland with DH and kids. I booked a room in the Grand Californian for next week (we always wanted to stay there). It is over $400 a night. Now I am having second thoughts. It is a lot of $$. I am wondering if we should just not go since we are going to WDW in July. We could just go for a day. Or if maybe we should stay at Disneyland Resort instead.
I would like my kids to have a fun couple of months before we move, doing all their favorite SoCal things, but this little trip to Disneyland would set us back $1400.
So WWYD?

I was going to post this as a thread, but when i looked at the disneyland site last night, they had special rates for the monday, & tuesday (& maybe Wed.) after Memorial Day for all 3 hotels. It doesn't work for me (already have airline tickets), but maybe it works for you.

I want to think the hotels were $200 - $230 per night these specific days.

I wish that would work, but DD is still in school, so we really couldn't take those days off. Bummer.

if you an afford it and think the kids will love it, go for it. if you cannot afford it or you are unsure of how much they will care about the hotel, then change your plans. you are moving across the country and a lash hurrah is justified if it is feasible.
