Should we go on a tour?

Here’s the situation: we’re in the middle of purchasing 200 BWV resale (passed ROFR, waiting on estoppel). We called 2 weeks ago to try to buy 75 BLT direct, same UY. We were put on a waiting list, supposedly first in line.

We will be at WDW on rented points very soon. Would it help the direct purchase process move faster if we went on a tour? Would maybe going on a tour make us look more serious? It would be our 3rd tour in 20 years... maybe 7 since our last one?

It feels weird to have to TRY to give a corporation money! But I do understand the nature of our request- an exact month, exact amount of points.

It won't help. They either have the points or they don't. The waitlist should come through pretty quickly though!

Agreed. It won't help, and since you're at the top of the list, you'll probably get a call before you even get to WDW. But since you're there, there's no harm in looking at what Saratoga Springs looks like and getting free fastpasses!

Back in the 90’s we went on the tour and we could kick ourselves now for not buying then-but really, it wasn’t the time. 2 kids, mortgage, car repairs, college saving, etc. We were trying to be good stewards of our money...but geeez those points would have been so much fun!! Saratoga is beautiful and I hope we get to stay there someday. My husband wants an EPCOT resort and then a MK resort. I want to stay everywhere!

I’m not sure DVC would give us a single thing, not even a Rice Krispie treat, at this point. We’re almost owners, trying to buy more, 3rd tour...
