We are taking our 1st family disney trip with our 21/2 and 41/2 year olds in 2007...we want to stay 7 days. Should we go in March (17-24) or June (2-9). I was wondering about weather and crowds??? Can anyone advise or give their opinion? Thanks so much!

With your childern being so young I would go in March. June is going to be HOT! And since this is your first trip you don't want to be miserable from the heat. I have been there in March from the 1st to 12th and the crowds were not that bad, but you will have to see when Spring Break is next year. The weather was nice, the nights were still cool but the days were just right. I have never been there in June to say how the crowds are but I know the weather and I have had family memebers there in May, late June and August and the weather was too, too, HOT. I hope this helps some.

We went in March and June this year. The weather was nicer in March (cooler--although it was too cool to swim in the evenings if that is a consideration--we could swim in the afternoons though). March was busy because of spring break.

June was hot and crowded, but the park hours were longer, the daylight lastest longer, and we could use the pool for more hours.

If I had non-school age children, I would go in February. I have heard that is a nice time to go, or in September right after kids go back to school.

Of your two options, I would pick March if you want cooler temperatures in the park, or June if you want to have longer hours in the park as well as more time to use the pool.

I am a teacher that is why my options are March or June...we would love to go in the other "off-months", but that will not be an option for my family. Thanks!

We just did March and June this year (I teach too) with a dd1 and dd4. Pick March! Definitely! It was such a different trip....fewer crowds and the heat/humidity in June (as well as teh rain) made a big difference in how little we actually did. We still had a good time in June, but spent a lot more time covering strollers, ducking into stores to escape heat/rain, etc. It it had been my first trip, I would have been a little disappointed because we didn't get to to do as much. Also, June is rainy season...right in mid-afternoon, just when you might want to take an afternoon break at the pool with your little ones!

March....the hours won't matter so much to you since your litttle ones' will probably be too tired to do late hours anyway. We always leave (at the lastest) right after the fireworks/nighttime shows and the kids are usually asleep by the time we get to the busses.

Good point, with kids that young, the later hours might actually not work as well and to use the pool, just take an afternoon break and swimming is fine.

In your situation, I would pick March.

We went the first week of June this year and didn't have rain (except the first day when we checked in) and the humidity was low, so I think we lucked out this year. The following week was very rainy and I am so glad we didn't go that week.

March is much safer!

We went in June of 2004 and it was so hot and humid. I hated the weather. By the time we got to the monorail from the ticket booth, we were soaked with sweat. I enjoy hot weather but I was not prepared for the humidity.

Another vote for March. June can be sooooo hot. And while many spring breaks are in March and crowds are definitely up, at least your week off won't coincide with Easter - in 2007 Easter is April 8th.
