We've never done the Hoop-de-do. Our daughter really wants to go in June. Could someone please describe it? Would you recommend it or not? Thanks!

I say go! :goodvibes
My son was 6 and its still all he talks about, and we went in August! :rotfl2:
Its corny and silly but alot of fun  There were 10 of us and everybody had a great time :grouphug: , we had salad, fried chicen, ribs, beans, corn and strawberry shortcake! It is served family stlye with lots to go around~
So it was a great night with good fun and fun, we will be going back in December for sure!

we love hoopdeedoo-we've been 2x
we went in august with 9 of us and it was the highlight of the trip
its a funny musical and you'll be singing and clapping by the end of it
they serve ribs and chicken and soda beer and wine
you wont regret it

We've been a few times with various people we've traveled with. Of all the things we've done, the HDD sticks out the most in my kids' memories. They really loved it. Last year, I didn't book it because my kids are 14 and 11 (and we had another 14 year old with us). I figured that they would be too old and it *is* a pricey show. They were so disappointed not to go. I tried to book a ressie while there, but I couldn't get a good seating so we missed it.

We've been twice and my dd's LOVED it. It's really a good time, there is singing, dancing, jokes, and audience interaction and you eat your dinner in between. My dd's love the end when they get to play the washboards. You definatley have to try it. It's worth it.

We go every trip and we LOVE it. I would definitely try it out. The food is pretty good (fried chicken and ribs aren't my favorite but DH raves about it) and the show is fabulous!

First post here, been lurking too long...

Big yes for Hoop Dee Doo, great fun in the Disney way. Last time there (in 2004), I got dragged up on stage and put into a tutu - and loved every minute of it.

YES! This is a great show that everyone should try at least once. We love it!!!!!!!!

BY all means go!
My son was 7 and from the time it started to the end he was cracking up- big belly laughs ( crying he was laughing so hard). We also had a fabulous time-

Bring your video camera to catch your childs reaction it will probaly be priceless!

When we went Oct 2004, at first I thought it was expensive but.. breaking it down to dinner and a wonderful show I didnt thik it was too much.. it was worth every penny.

Oh yeah, 5' 9" and 250#, large sized in a little tutu. The family laughed at the photos for weeks. But if you cannot have fun (and a laugh at yourself) at Disney, you don't belong there.

Actually the best part about being in the show was they gave me a photo in a special folder and a certificate of participation right after, the bad part of being on stage was that I missed dessert!

Well, now you have to go back again--just so you can try the dessert. I really like their Strawberry Shortcake.

We went in January and had a great time. It was amazing how quickly the two hours flew by. (Of course, I was distracted keeping our 9-month-old amused, too!) We were lucky enough to get put at the round table in the middle, which they dance around at one point.

None of us are big rib fans, but the rest of the food was great, especially the dessert!

We used dining plan credits to pay for it. That may or may not be the best use of credits, but it was a lot less psychologically painful than coughing up $50 each! It's definitely worth doing at least once.

My Dad told me to write what I thought about the Hoopdy-Do-Review. Now I am 13, when we went I was 11, and I loved it then, and I know that I will love it now! Our table was the center of the show for part of the dinner! The froo froo lady was over by my Dad for part of the performance and we laughed our heads off! If you are looking for a great dinner, great entertainment, and great laughs, this is a great choice! If you choose the Hoopdy-Do-Review youy are sure to have a great time! So if you go enjoy!!!! :thumbsup2 :cool1: everyone will be :bounce: to go again!!!!

Just thought I would have her throw in her 2 cents. It was just like averill94 said, I had almost as much fun watching my girls and their reactions as I did with the show. I did enjoy the good looking blonde sitting on my lap and flirting with me! :teeth: . The girls where like MOM what's she doing. My wife did point out that I didn't seem to mind. :teeth: . You will have a great time.

I will be there on June 28 with my 3 boys (hubby and 6 year old twins). It sounds like a lot of fun. They said that we could even order a special meal for our extremely picky eater. :thumbsup2

I'm glad to see all the positive points about Hoop-Dee-Doo, I have not been yet and last night my boyfriend said that he was told we have to go so we are now booking it for our trip in May!! :thumbsup2

Although I wasn't on the trip, my grandfather, who is not a small guy, was also in the show wearing that little tutu...unfortunately I have not seen the pictures but i know I'll be thinking of him when I see the person wearing it at my show! :lmao:
