Hi!
We are currently booked at POFQ for 14 days in June/July with the TS DP.
Now I am starting to worry a bit about the money and if the DP is "worth it"

It would be me and DD and we like to eat at TS restaurant and with characters.
But, it is a LOT of food and we would not be in a Disney park every day.

Most likely we would spend 2 days at Universal and 2 days to the beach and some shopping.
Part of this trip would also be together with my children and youth choir (about 3-4 days)

I am an AP, but DD (23) would need tickets, and I COULD buy the Tables in wonderland card and save 20 %

Should I keep the DP and try a split stay instead (half POP half POFQ) or cancel the DP?
I really need some input. I like the idea not to worry about dining cost while we are there, but it is a lot of money for 14 days.

Restaurants we would like to eat are;
50`s Prime Time
Garden Grill
California Grill
Storybook dining
Tusker House
Cape May
Ranglan Road

Sometimes DD and I could easily share food at dinner, not at Buffets though.
Thank you :)

This is truly a math exercise (as I often say)

You need to put in the work to calculate the options as you described. Either can work
Include will you buy alcohol? Calculate oop vs dining plan

Thank you
I don’t drink alcohol.. maybe DD (23) does som times, but not a lot.

You really need to do the math. Make a list of your ADR's. Not the ones you would book if you had the plan, but the ones you want, plan or no plan. Check out the menus and make a guess what the two of you would order, adding a cocktail or beverage if you would normally order one, leaving it out if not. Include dessert only if you would likely order that as well. If you generally split dessert, add the cost of one.

Look at CS restaurants you will probably have breakfast and/or lunch and add in what you think you wodul order.

Snacks? Yes or no? My family loves snacks, and use them a lot to fulfill our Starbucks craving, but not everyone does this. If you generally would include snacks, add $10.00 per night becuas that is a decent average.

WHen you make your calculations, add in tax for your estimates because you pay tax on your meals and snacks if paying OOP.

Now compare the price of the plan vs your likely meal costs. This takes tiem and cannot be exact because you never knwo what you will do once you are there, but it is a good way to narrow down your decision. I never include or exclude the refillable mugs. They are nice, and we use them, and would buy a few but for me, the de veil is in the other details. I consider those mus a bonus.
