First time to Disney for Christmas, arrive 11/30, leave 12/3. Staying at BCV.

We've heard great things about MVMCP and would go on 12/2, a Tuesday.

Any DVC, Annual pass or Disney VISA discounts?

Seems a bit pricey for the event.

Its just my wife and I, we're in our 50s.

Are they usually incredibly crowed?

Thanks!

Wh have gobe to MVMCP on two occasions. The park is not over crowded but I would suggest if you go you do not wait until the event starts. If you do you will have to swim "upstream" against all the people leaving the park at that time. I would suggest going around 5:00 and having dinner and waiting for things to clear out. That being said although we enjouyed going we also thought the price was a bit much as well (there are 5 of us). In our own opinion we enjoy the Osbourne Light Festival much more at Holywood Studios and that is free! This is the first year we are not going during the holidays in the past three years and we all siad that we will miss the Osbourne light festival more than anything else.

Keep in mind if it rains they usually still hold the event. Last year we went to MVMCP and it poured the entire time. We only stayed about 1 1/2 hours and then decided to go back to the resort.

Again, nice event but we wont spend the money to go back again. I wouldnt tell someone not to go but if you are concerned about cost you might want to try something else.

We did the party last December & would not do it again. The one show we saw was cute & the parade was great, but not worth it in the end for us :confused3 It was FREEZING and we did not stay very long :(

Thanks for the responses.

We'll only be there for a few days and I think we'll have our hands full with Osborne, Storytellers, etc.

Thanks!

We each wear a Santa's hat and I have gloves just in case of cold!

DH and I were in our 50's and DMom was in her 80's when we went to our first MVMCP, and it's something we do just about every year. The parade is lots of fun, very festive. The fireworks surround you at times, it's a wonderful effect! There are shows to enjoy and I know one year there was a bell choir performing in the courtyard at the back of the Castle. Last year Lady Tremaine and her daughters were hosting a party in Fantasyland and they were hysterical! There is snow on Mainstreet. There was a chance to have your picture taken with Cinderellas coach, we didn't wait in line for that.

Our DGC and extended family will be joining us this year, can't wait!

Bobbi:santa:

We also go every year.

There is no AP/DVC discount available for 12/2. You can only get the regular advance purchase price of $48.95 for adults and 42.95 for children under 10 years of age. The gate prices are 55.94 (adult) and 49.95 (children under 10). Prices are plus taxes.
