Should we do Kona for Breakfast or Lunch?

Staying at the Poly and trying to fit it in...which meal is better in your opinion?

Thanks!

We always do a late breakfast, good food/wonderful coffee. This is a perfect spot after a late night and a little sleep in the next morning.

We were at the Polynesian back in February for three nights, and had breakfast at Kona Cafe twice. We're going back for breakfast on our next visit, even though we're not staying at the Poly.

Would you do Kona instead of 1900 Park Fare breakfast? This would be on the last day of our trip...

Normally I would say breakfast but after our incredible lunch there last Nov I would have to go with lunch. Honestly the tonga toast is nothing to get excited about and you can get eggs and sausage anywhere but the lunch menu it fantastic.

DH has the chicken plate with mac salad and I had the teriyaki steak salad bowl and we ate every single thing on our plates.

Not only was the food great but it was so nice and quiet and relaxing at lunchtime because everyone was out of the resort! Breakfast is like a zoo because of Ohana and everyone leaving the resort on the monorail.

Breakfast is our favorite meal at Kona Cafe

I haven't had breakfast there, but as you can see it is a favorite of many people. I have eaten lunch there and plan to do so again - we always enjoy eating at Kona. They serve coffee at lunchtime too!

Go with whatever suits you, I think you'll be fine.

We did breakfast and dinner our last trip and much preferred breakfast. We plan to try lunch in the future.

The macadamia pancakes are my favorite.

I don't think you could go wrong with either one! Breakfast is a perfect start to a day at the MK. But it's also a perfect break from the park in the middle of the day, just to escape the insanity of the parks.

Breakfast does seem to be more crowded as others have stated because of 'Ohana's and people rushing to get the monorail. Lunch is much quieter because people are already in the parks and 'Ohana's isn't open for lunch.

Definitely lunch!

Their breakfast is fine, but eggs, sausage, and pancakes are pretty much the same wherever you go.

I wouldn't recommend against it, but if I had to choose between the two I'd much rather have something more special.

Their lunch is awesome! The sticky wings are great and I love the plate lunches--especially the chicken in peanut sauce.
