Should we do EE or avoid it at all costs?

I am SOOOO confused. We are staying at the Dolphin 2/27 - 3/6. I've started planning out my days in order to decide on the PSs that we are going to need/want. Originally I had us going to the parks on the days that they offered EE, but when reviewing the UG is says to either: go in the am then leave by lunch to go to another park, or stay away from the EE park all together.

Isn't the first option (going for a few hours then heading to another park) wasting alot of time going from park to park? We are not bringing a car, so we would be relying on Disney transportation.

So any vets out there that can help.... I would be very appreciative!!!

Thanks, Sweetpea

we usually go off peak and sometimes have gone to the early opening (under what ever name it happens to be at that time)sometimes haven't. I have never noticed an appreciable difference ( like a maybe a 10 min. wait for attractions instead of walking straight on!) but we are planning on some this trip and if it get uncomfortably busy, going else where which may take some travel time but will probably make up for it in less wait time for rides. I did notice on mousavers there is some kind of deal that says kids stay andplay free..didn't look it up but it starts Jan4 so it may be in your time too which depending on how good a deal it is(I didn't read the particulars) may make things busier.

I do wish sometimes people would post when ( what time of year) they had problems with certain things since peak and off peak are so different.

I have done EE in the past and have never encountered problems.. I have gone at different times of the year too... my thoughts are this, if you are up early and ready to go.. try it.. getting on rides without crowds is a good thing.. :)

If you are going to be here during a peak time the best thing is to plan to do EE as it is worth it but then plan to spend the rest of the day at another park. The EE park tends to be the busiest park once the park officially opens to everyone because you have all the day guests as well as the resort guests that have used EE and stayed. EE itself is a great opportunity, but once the park opens like I said it tends to be the busiest park of the day.

We are seasoned EE guests. We are morning people already, so it isn't difficult for our family. What is really nice about Magic Kingdom is utilizing EE for Fantasyland since we have younger children. Our first ride is always Dumbo without a wait because the wait becomes horrible as the day goes on.

We leave parks before/after lunch anyway for naps, so it isn't a big deal to then go to a diffferent park later in the day. ---I just turned on the tv and Samantha Brown is wandering about the Grand Floridian; what great timing!----

They do check resort id on EE mornings, so make sure to keep it with you, too.

I was having the same dilemma and decided to try it and see how it goes. We are early risers so these EEs fit our schedule well. Since I'll have a younger child with me, MK seems to fit the best for EE. I think we will change parks in the afternoon after our break. That seems to make a lot of sense.

I did EE last week and would recommend it to anyone. The crowds were light anyway, but were really scarce during EE. Once the park opens up to others, the back side of the park is usually still uncrowded because most people stop at the first thing they come to.

As for changing parks, you won't waste much time changing. We love going to multiple parks each day. I would suggest that you plan to go to MK in the morning. It usually is the most crowded.

This has helped me a great deal. I'm going to post my first draft of itinerary on another post, let me know what you think.
