Should we cruise in middle or end or our hol?

Hi there

We (family of 5) are travelling from the UK to Orlando for 3 weeks in Aug 06 (hopefully). We want to do a 3 night cruise as part of our holiday and we were originally going to do it at the end of the holiday (24th - 27th Aug) as a relaxing end to the trip.

I am now reconsidering and I am thinking of doing the cruise in the middle of the holiday (17th - 21st Aug) instead, in case bad weather means the cruise will be postponed for a day or two. Does this happen very often??
I am worried that if we have to fly home to London on the day we disembark and the cruise is delayed for some reason we will miss the whole thing!!

Help, I just can't decide what to do...

I wouldn't worry so much about the cruise being delayed. But I would consider taking the cruise a little earlier so that you have a day or two to rest up after the cruise. The 3 day cruise isn't as relaxing as the 7 night because there is SO much to see and do, and you will want to do it all, that you will probably be on the go for most of it. Then you have to get up early on the last day so you can eat breakfast and disembark. We like to go over to WDW for a couple of days after our cruise.

Also, if I were you, I would look into the 4 night instead. It is a LOT more relaxing than the 3 night. I know that it probably doesn't seem like 1 day should make a difference, but it really does. That last day is a day at sea, and you can take your time packing and just relax that day.

Also, on the 4 night, if for some reason they can not dock at CC, they have another chance to try again on the last day. So your odds of making it to CC would be greater on the 4 night (even the 7 night doesn't have this option).
