Should we cancel Le Cellier?

We have 10! TS scheduled for our 7 night trip in Sept. Granted 4 of them are for breakfast as our kids like breakfast and they're all character meals that they'll enjoy.
I'm rethinking our ADR for Le Cellier on 9/7. Our dds are going to be 4 and just under 2. They tend to get antsy at slow restuarants, and I don't like steak or seafood, so my choices are limited. I just worry that we'll have a long wait for a table, and then dh and I will spend a majority of the meal alone as we each take turns walking the girls around.
Should we cancel and try it later when the kids are older? I feel like I should be happy to have gotten the ADR, but it's not worth it if we can't sit and enjoy the meal.
We're likely buying into DVC, so we'll have many more trips in the world in the future.

Oh and BTW. If we do cancel, you all will be the first to know it.;)

I would if I were you. Having a hot reservation is not a great deal if it isn't a restaurant you and your family are going to really enjoy. It doesn't sound like LC is a good fit for your family right now. You don't really like the featured type of food and your girls don't like long meals that don't involve characters. ;)

There are so many really great CS places in World Showcase you could do if you need to cut down on TS.

Sounds like you already made up your mind on this one! If you dont think you will be able to enjoy it, dont set yourself up for disappointment (and a bad dining experience that might make you not want to return there).

While Le Cellier is one of my favorite resteraunts, I would say cancel. It seems like you have plenty of sit down meals togethor as a family. The food is amazing, so maybe wait untill your children are old enough to enjoy the meal and experience. It is interesting asking the waitstaff about what parts of Canada they are from! If you can miss the cheese soup (My DDs favorite) and you dont mind I would say cancel. You know you will be going to Disney again the future, this gives you something to look foward to next trip!

Thanks for your opinions. I'll talk it over with dh, and probably cancel tomorrow. Does the dining line know how many times we call and change our minds?:rolleyes1

That is so funny:rotfl2: I had my Adrs since my 180 mark and have been changing them almost as often as I change the baby's diaper....lol

Anyway as great as LeCellier is , if your children don't sit still and you are not into steak and seafood I would say cancel. I already have my ADR for 8 in September so I don't need your ressie (kidding) but maybe you should stick to a more kids friendly place. It is very dark at this restuarant also. It was a little to much for my 4 year old...the wait I mean he could not sit still that long. Maybe stick with another character meal or a family style dinner that they serve right away. Ohana is very nice, food right away and they have games and fun for the kids....hula , hula hoop , coconut races and limbo. Alot of fun we love the place. I also always order the kids something different then what the serve, works out great everytime we go.

We ate at LeCellier (2 adults and a 2 Yr. old) for dinner. It was a disaster. We had an ADR and were seated 45 minutes late. LeCellier IS really a celler so there was nothing for the little guy to see except people eating and servers serving--except our server who did darn little of the "serving" part of the job. The baby was cranky since service was so slow we didn't even have anything in front of us to eat for another 45 minutes. Any, after all this, I thought the food was okay but not the stellar steak place I was anticipating. I know that my opinion of LeCellier is colored by late seating, lousy service and the baby but when it's all said and done--you're sitting in a basement seated close to other people. Not the best atmosphere under the best of circumstances.
