Should we buy express pass for September 3rd-5th due to labor day?

We're here from September 3-5th and wants to visit one park per day. Is it going to be busy due to labor day and long holiday? Crowd calendar says moderate crowd. Should we buy Express pass? I'm thinking of visiting Island of Adventure on the 3rd since the park is open from 8am-10pm and rest on the 4th and then visit Universal on the 5th. I have 2 kids that are interested in Harry Potter so we'll be heading there first. Any tips would be appreciated.

Studios side is going close early for HHN today through Sunday. So you want to go early in the day. I would maybe upgrade to park to park instead of getting express pass so you can do Hogwarts Express. It’s different each way. Can’t do it if you don’t have park to park access

Thank you for responding. I didn't know Universal studios close early for the regular crowd. I don't see where I can find what time its closing.

You'll be OK this Sunday as the first Sunday for HHN is 9/12.

You can always buy it later if you think you need it after you get there, but I agree park to park is the way to go and you get to ride the HP train.

Always look ahead at the prices, they go up for express the closer it gets to the day. I saw some shocked and sad people in July when they went to by express day of and it was over $250 per person. The express hotels are great, but that too is best when you plan ahead.
