Should we book a studio at BLT or wait?

We are fairly new DVC members, and are making our first trip Home in a couple of weeks :cool1:

But we are also planning on staying in May 2010 for a few days prior to a four night cruise (probably 3 nights). :)

We have enough points without borrowing to book a studio at BLT (we are already staying in a 1 bedroom at BLT for part of our upcoming trip). It is me, DH, our two older children (10 year-old twins) and our younger son (he'll be 2 at time of trip). I know it will be tight, but wondering if it is worth it since we wouldn't be staying long.

To book a 1 bedroom anywhere, we would need to borrow points. But we have a June use year, and so I am worried about losing them if for some reason we can't make the trip.

Should I book the studio now, and wait as long as I can to book a one bedroom?

Thanks for any feedback!

I have to tell you, having just returned from a BLT studio, they are rather on the smallish side. It will be tight with 5 of you, even assuming your 2 yr old is going to share the bed with the others? I think it will be REALLY tight if you need to use the pac n play. Perhaps you can save some points and stay in a studio at another resort?

I would wait and book a studio at OKW. It has the two queen beds.

Thanks - I had a feeling a studio wouldn't work for us :sad2:

I guess we will take a chance on the 1 bedroom, though we might want to try a different resort, so maybe we'll wait until the 7 months, since a 1 bedroom anywhere else would be fewer points, and we wouldn't be able to use the difference during that use year (i.e., for the borrowed points portion).
