Should we avoid MK on Christmas Parade days?

I have read that the Christmas parade will tape at Magic Kingdom Dec 6-9. We are planning for our first day to go to MK on Sunday 12/07. Is the parade going to cause higher crowds and problems with walking around? My kids are young so I don't have any interest in watching the parade.
Does anyone know what times the taping occurs?

It should only film on the 5th and 6th, with the 7th as a back-up day for rain or technical issues, so there most likely won't be any filming on Sunday.

We were there several years ago during taping and it was completely insane. You could not move. It was cool getting to see Regis and Kelly (I said SEVERAL years ago haha) We hopped over to Epcot that day and found it much more manageable.
