Should we avoid HS on May The Fourth and May The Fifth?

Easy WDW is showing Wednesday 5/4 and Thursday 5/5 as good days to go to Hollywood Studios.

Is there any reason to avoid that park due to May The Fourth (Force) and May The Fifth (Sith)? We are not that into Star Wars, so if the park will be more crowded due to Star Wars things, we will plan an HS visit on another day.

We went for May the 4th last year and didn't find it bad at all. I really thought it would be more crowded. There were lots of times when Storm Troopers were out and taking pictures, and that area could get crowded. But other than that we found it manageable.

The last few years we've been there that week and didn't notice any increase in crowds for May 4th (I even wore my shirt). Then again Star Wars weekends usually started in the middle of May so any Star Wars fanatics would probably wait until then to go to HS. Even with them canceling SW weekends this year I doubt you would see any significant increase in crowds on May 4th.

Nope we had a blast last year and we will be there on either the 4th or 5th again this year

Are they doing special things on the 4th and 5th this year? I mean since SW weekends are cancelled. My kids would be thrilled if they had something special on the 4th and 5th (like Stormtroopers coming out).

they usually don't announce of anything special but in the past they have had some characters roaming around...this year is different because the Streets of America would be already closed so I'm not sure if they would have characters out, maybe just around Center Stage?

Oh, I forgot the Streets are already closed.... we'll be at WDW anyway those days so I think we could always hop over and see if there's something special going on. And if not, we'll just make do without any SW entertainment

well remember that they will still have Launch Bay with Chewie and Kylo Ren meeting, the first order stormtroopers patrolling outside, Jedi Training and hopefully they extend the fireworks
