Should the Tag Fairy be allowed to do this

I would not mind the TF to come and edit my profile. I know you are not given the privilege to do such a thing, so therefore, I would not like you, personally, editing my profile. I do think that the TF should not waste any more pixie power on you to "torment you" and spend that important time bestowing the little gift of a tag to those who appreciate a tag. I like tags and enjoy reading everyone's tags and I am still waiting for another special TF note someday.

VH, I'm sorry you don't enjoy getting tags. Lots of folks around here love getting tags. Most folks think it's really special when the tag fairy notices something they say, and put that under their username. It just adds a bit of fun and joy to the DIS for most people, and there's nothing wrong with that.

I think VH's point is not that he minds the tags so much as he does not appreciate that the TF has the ability to go into his profile and edit at will.

VH, all systems have at least one super admin that can go in and change your user information. Someone at the DIS would have that ability whether there was a TF or not.

It's not like you "own" your profile or that it's really private. It's an Internet message board -- there's hardly much expectation of privacy here.
