Should Star Wars at Disneyland have gone to DCA instead?

I didn't know where to put this topic, since it is news/opinion related.

I've seen a few people in other places who said they resented that Disneyland itself was getting the huge Star Wars land and thought it would fit better in DCA....because DCA has more lands based on a single IP, whereas Disneyland is based on several different IP's in one land.

I can definitely understand that Star Wars will radically change the "landscape" of Disneyland, and as an expansion, possibly the most "out of character" expansions. I mean most of the other additions have been a better fit in classic Disney sense.

Thoughts?

I personally disagree. Star Wars doesn't fit in DCA at all, whereas Bugs land or Cars land are perfectly plausible as Californian landscapes. Plus, I don't think DCA has the space Disney is planning to use for Star Wars. Can't say I'm a big fan of the idea of seeing Star Wars buildings towering over BTMRR in the distance, but I think there isn't any other place at DLR where a 14 acre land would fit better.

I have to say, however, that I would've liked SWL to be connected to Tomorrowland.

No. Star Wars is not a California thing. It belongs in the park based on Fantasy realms.

I disagree that it should've been in tomorrowland. Tomorrowland is about that futuristic time. Star Wars is set in a galaxy a long time ago.

I think it's much simpler...

California adventure just got the major overhaul/addition, so it makes sense to do this in Disneyland.

They've taken the same approach in Orlando...which means the next thing - when rip van winkle wakes up in 2045 - should be epcot...

Which it's getting hard to remember is the greatest, most unique, more innovative amusement park ever built in context.

Yeah, but it's still thematically more similar to Tomorrowland than to Frontierland. Star Tours has been at Tomorrowland for decades and it never felt like it didn't fit in there. I never liked the idea of Star Wars Land replacing Tomorrowland, but by closing Autopia and a couple of empty buildings from TL, they could've built an adjacent SWL that wouldn't mess with TL's storyline but would still flow thematically speaking.

I'm not very picky regarding its location, though.

I thought from a business standpoint that it would of made more sense to be in California Adventure. Looking at the past attendance numbers a popular attraction could help even out the numbers between the two parks. It would also be interesting if Seasons of the Force became a two park event. In the end it could never of fit in California Adventure without acquiring more land.
