Should pregnant women be concerned about Zika in Bahamas?

My husband and I were planning a cruise to Nassau and CC in Jan 2018,
But I am concerned about Zika.
Have any other pregnant ladies felt safe enough to go ahead or should we plan something else?
I am going to call my Dr Monday, but wanted other opinions in the mean time.

EDIT: Three for Three, lol. But seriously, it says "Women who are pregnant should not travel to the Bahamas." Pretty straightforward.

When you book a Bahamian cruise Disney sends you an email regarding zika and it's risks to folks of childbearing age. I'm sure it's partly a cover your butt kind of thing, but it's out there.

I'm done having kids but I still plan to pack the big spray and reapply often (to all of us). Not that I don't do that already.

Think Alaska or northern Europe, as the Mediterranean cruises could leave you susceptible also. The mosquito that carries Zika is not as common there as it is in the Caribbean, but there is still a presence.

Hopefully "other" means not in the Caribbean. That's where it's most prevalent.

We had friends visit us in Phoenix b/c they wanted warm weather without Zika threat, as she was pregnant. I got the impression that they had a hard time coming up with other warm weather options for the winter season. We aren't devoid of mosquitoes, but in cooler (non-monsoon) months, they'd be more likely found around grassy areas like golf courses if at all. We hardly ever see them at our house even during the monsoons. FWIW, they're doctors and I'm sure did their research about where to go!

The Cayman Islands are now considered Zika free. We are planning on doing Hawaii, which is Zika free. Chile is also an option to avoid Zika.

We're going to Hawaii. Aulani is great if you haven't been. We did Alaska on the Wonder in May, also great. I am missing a good Caribbean cruise and Castaway Cay though.
