Should People Under 13 and Over 19 Be Able To Post Here?

Please no bashing.
The only time I have problem with older people posting is when they are like parents. Its fine if they are on asking question about what to do with teens in Disney and stuff regarding teenagers. When they are just in the conversation, I think its a little weird just because its called the teen boards. I don't know, it really depends. As for people under 13, I think thats okay, I think under 11 would be a little crazy though, again it is a teen board. I am not going to go around telling people to stop posting. I think some discussions get pretty heated and stuff like that. (Ex: the Vanessa Anne Hudgens threads) I think 10 in general is a little young to be posting on a internet board just because a 10 yr old isnt going to really know what information they can give away and what there boundaries are. JMO. Feel free to comment on what I said, I'd love to hear opinions, but please don't attack me. Lol

Liz, I understand what you are saying in the context of adults just chatting away with the teens in threads. Like it would be a little bit weird if a grown woman with children was chatting with us girls in the Girl Thread about our periods. I really don't think that would happen and if it did I think that person would be reported. As for parents asking questions about what to get there teens at WDW that is fine. Just the other day I was in a chatroom with Tinkerbell424 alone and in come a lot of adults(I mean older adults ranging in age of 40's to 60's. And they were all totally awsome. They let us join right in and had no problem with us being a part of there group. I think Tinkerbell424 would say the same thing as me. We both had a great experience in that chatroom that night.

Well, I'm only 12, and I can say that I'm more mature then some of the older people here, and so are a lot of the users under 13.

And when I joined, I had just turned 10. I didn't post much, but when I did it was usually on the resort boards to give people advice.

And you know what, I'm smarter than most older people (Up to age 22 or so) anyway.

i'd like to hear from anyone who said 'no' to either age group. How exactly do you propose to stop them? Honestly? Are you demanding birth certificates from every new poster? you just have to accept it when people join.

i have no problems with a particular age group, though I have a hard time relating to most posters under fourteen years old, which can cause for some frustration. If someone can post intelligently, i have no problems with them.

you're in what? sixth grade? sorry honey, but you're really not all that more intelligent than college grads. I have no doubt in my mind that you're a smart kid, but you still have a whole lot left to learn. true intelligence is realizing you still have more to learn.

One of my best dis buddys is under 13 anyway and i really dont care about her age she is a nice kind girl who i have got to know

Megan, I imagine you are a very intelligent young lady. And I applaud you for that, but you have only lived 12 years of life here and earth and intellegence is measured on a lot more than what you learn in school it is also a lot on experience and you do not have that yet. People like daughter_of_amid_chaos has experienced some of that and I guarantee she would even say she hasn't even experienced that much either in her young age. But she has expeiranced a lot more than you and I and most of us that are on this board. Don't think succeeding in life is all about how smart you are because you will most certainly fall short of yourr goals if your don' t add experiences to that.

I'm only 12 too. However I have to completely disagree with you. And just the fact that you claim to be more mature than the people on here over 13 just disproves your point even more. And saying that you're smarter than most people over 22 means that you're clearly not. You and I have got a lot of learning left to do. Sure there are some mature situations that I could handle a little better than some people on here, but that doesn't mean I am smarter or more mature. Because I will freely admit in other situations I would handle it the worst way possible unlike some other people.

Anyway to answer the question people under 13 aren't that bad and some of them ARE in middle school like most 13 year olds. And so what if they're like a year or two away from being 13? What's wrong with that? Nothing. Like many others have pointed out, we're TBers and yet we still go onto the CB. And there's nothing wrong with that.

I believe that everybody should be able to post here, but to a degree. If you are a younger one then be mature. You can be younger on here and know how to act. I mean when I was 13 and younger I was sure as heck not mature so I just can't see how you all are. That is just my opinion.

I think that people of all ages should be allowed to post on here. I've been browsing through several threads, and the Teen Board seems like a fun place to post and read other people's posts. It's appropriate for people of all ages.
