I figured they were already married, since they both have the last name 'Mouse' and all...but they do live in spearate houses, don't they.
Why not get married? That can be the next big thing for disney. First the 50th celebration, then YOAMD...next it will be the big Mickey & Minnie tying-the-knot celebration, and they will invite others to get married at Disney & drum up some more business.
"According to Walt Disney, Mickey and Minnie Mouse have never been married on screen. But, in 1933, during an interview with Film Pictorial, Walt said, "In private life, Mickey is married to Minnie... What it really amounts to is that Minnie is, for screen purposes, his leading lady."
Well, see now, that's just it. Mickey has wanted to marry Minnie for years, but when Minnie said something about owning half of "The World" he decided to let his lawyers do their thing and she won't sign nut'n. Mickie does need a better law crew though - Chip and Dale's nut - contracts are driving everyone off.
I used to have a copy of the old sheet music for "The Wedding of Mister Mickey Mouse" from the 30s. It was always a given to me that they were married - especially after meeting their happily-married close pals, Wayne and Russi!
I knew the Disers would have great opinions onthis, I told a friend about this and he said if they televised their wedding it would be watched by more people than the superbowl.
Could you imagine a year long celebration at WDW about their wedding, what a great idea that would be.
