Should magic bands be expanded??? I love them!

Yes I really like magic bands.

The ease of room key, charging, park pass all in one is great as long as they work, I like to key cards as a back up which seem to be more dependable.

Edit to say last time I was at WDW was during oct 2013 part of the testing and MB didnt always work.

Eh, not really. I don't mind them but I also don't wear any of the ones I own as I don't like their look or feel.

At least provide the option you don't think it would be better than having your ship card on a cruise?

Just load your disney stuff on it

Really like magic bands for the ability to pay for things on your room. We've been on two long trios since FP+ and bands and find we are much more limited as far as getting on rides and choice of where we want to be park wise, compared to where we gave to be because of the way FP+ is set up. Now they are making FP+ for QS meal (BOG), I can only say....over kill.

I love MagicBands! Everything is so much easier for our family to plan things at Disney. The convenience of having your credit card on your magic band is so useful and it saves so much time in line at merchandise locations and restaurants. We also like getting the limited edition magic bands when we go that have the characters on them. We just went to Disneyland and missed the magic bands so much (we actually wore them while we were at disneyland though:rotfl:). I know many people like the old fast pass system better, but we found at DL that it was more difficult to go around and obtain fast passes through the day. We only ended up using 1 the entire trip. As for the cruises, although I have not been on a Disney Cruise yet, we just sailed RCL and were talking about how much easier it would be if we could just wear a magic band and use it for everything on our upcoming Disney cruise. Our family is a lot more likely to loose a card instead of something that is attached to your wrist. Although, i do think there should be an option for cards like they have at WDW for people who don't care for the bands.

Gone as of last week.

I like the cards. I feel like a toddler with a band on. If you like the ease of charging to your room you can do that with a card just the same. I like cute lanyards to hold the cards in easily.

I think they do have Magicbands on DCL. I saw a picture of one (they are super cute). I think because DL is a lot of locals they won't implement MB or FP yet.

I love the bands as it makes getting in your room with food or bags from the parks much easier on top of the ease of buying stuff.

Those are for the kids' activities only. No "real" MBs on DCL (yet).

I think Magic Bands and FP+ can be treated separately. I like both, but I don't want to see FP+ at DLR or DCL. As for MBs, I wouldn't mind them at both.

DS had an MB for the kids club on Fantasy in July. When we checked in, before they gave him the MB, he asked if we could use our WDW MBs instead of the plastic key for our room. The CM said that they were working on that exact thing and he thought they would be implemented in about a year at most. CMs say a lot of things though, but I think it would be very convenient.

I'm pretty sure they've announced that MM+ is coming to DLR in 2016. Sounded like FP+ itself may not be exactly the same as WDW (at least possibly not), but it looks like all of the technology is on it's way out west.

I think magic bands are brilliant for cruising, because it's one place where you truly need to carry nothing else.

We went to Great Wolf Lodger about 4 years ago abd they had a band system for charging, room key, and water park entry and I thought it would be awesome for cruising because I hated having to carry something for my on board card. Disney beat the cruise industry.

I want a Magic Band for real life!! My work access card, debit card, car key, house key....would be great!! :)

I dislike the bands intensely. I've been wearing the darned thing for a week now, and am SO glad I can take it off and throw it away after today. There is nothing the band allows you to do that a card can't. Give me a card and lanyard any day. I hate the feel of it. I hate having to contort my wrist or arm every time I use it. I hate having it glitch. We've had trouble with room entry, BC lounge access, resort gate access, charging for meals.....The only things that worked every time were park and FP entry.

FP+ is a totally different thing. And I'm not a fan of the way it has changed the way we are forced to tour the parks.

Using the band for charging is not new. You have been able to do this for many years using your KTTW card. Its one of the perks of staying onsite.

I like the convenience of the bands. They can expand their use all they want as far as I'm concerned. I hate having anything hanging off my neck and I hate digging thru bags to find things. The bands are much more convenient and once on property, I don't take it off until we leave. No worry about what to do with my cc at the pool, no fumbling to find my old kttw card- love it!

I think the big difference for me is that the band does not require my hands while a card does. I don't particularly care for lanyards ( don't like the feeling on my neck), so my card is kept in my wallet. Much prefer the band.
