On January 20, I called our guide and gave her the deposit for a 50-point add on. On the 22nd, the points were in my account and I called MS to bank them. We have a Feb UY and I banked the 2010 points.

On Friday, the 28th, I received a letter from DVC Member Administration intructing me to call within 7 days to complete the purchase (or something like that).

But....I haven't received any documents yet. No contract, no financing info, nothing. Should I be concerned? It has been over a week since I did the deposit and I have not heard anything since then, except the letter reminding me to return my documents:confused3.

My guess is they just want to go over all the details to confirm everything before they send you the contract to sign. I'd call them on Monday.

:) Seems like we got the same intruction to call and it was just to verify the basics or something. We purchased on a Saturday over the phone and received paperwork two days later on a Tuesday. It was very quick buying direct...I would be wondering about the paperwork also.

I would not worry. With all of the snow we have gotten lately everything is running slow though-out the US and i am sure the paperwork will arrive in short order... Give them a call but i doubt it is anything serious. Good luck and enjoy the extra points.

This is the Disboards - of course you should worry!!! Everyone on the Disboards is worried about something :rotfl:.

If your not worried you must be in the wrong place. Well you could always be an overplanner instead of a worrier, but I bet they worry or they wouldn't overplan.

I called Member Administration today. She told me the documents were sent on January 24 via Fed Ex!! She said I should have received them last week, especially since I received the "instruction" letter. After looking into it, she called me back with the explanation. Since I added on at HHI, the documents were prepared and sent via FedEx to their broker in SC. They will prepare the final documents and forward them on to me. She said that the "instruction" letter is auto-generated from the office in Orlando when the documents are sent out. So I am all good! I should get the docs this week sometime....except for this huge snowstorm that's coming in tomorrow:headache:.

I'm glad you're all good! We think (hope) we're very near the end of our Hilton Head add on resale journey!

I ran out of patience for the resale route. I was looking for 35-75 points with a Feb UY and it just never happened. I found one, but it was already pending by the time I called:headache:. So, with our Feb UY approaching, I finally got DH to say yes and we opted to finance 50 points. I decided on the 10-year contract because it puts our monthly payment at only about $50. I fully intend on paying a total of $200-$250 which will pay it off by the end of next year. If we incur an unexpected financial crisis, I know that I will at least be able to afford the $50 payment. Somewhere down the road (maybe next year's tax refund?), I'd like to pay cash and add on another 25 points. That would give us 150 EOY at HHI and 200 EOY at AKV/WDW.

Keep us posted on your resale journey:hug:.
