Should I wait to buy tickets?

The main disney Web site had a three-day park hopper special that expired yesterday, 4/14/11. We'll be going the week after Easter for two days. However, the price on the three-day special was so good, I was considering buying it just for the early entrance on Tuesday, 4/26... and perhaps for squeaking in for fireworks and Fantasmic on Sunday, 4/24.

So, my question to all you experienced visitors: Do you think Disney will post another three-day park hopper special before we go? Or will they wait until May, when the crowds die down quite a bit?

I know I can wait and see, but I wonder how much hope I should have. (W/out the special price, buying a three-day park hopper isn't worth it for us!)

The special the last 2 years was for 5 days for the price of 3 so that wouldn't help you out. PLUS it didn't start until May. I highly doubt they'll have a ticket special valid over Easter this year.

Adding on to your thread because I have a similar question. We are arriving May 3 and have been waiting on buying tickets until the last minute in case of a deal. Is it likely that any new May promotion will cover early May? And when would it likely go up on the site?

Sorry to HJ this thread, but I am wondering what if a person wanted a 6 or 7 day pass, (Canadians, etc. who may be eligible) can anyone let me know if the price of the sale is ever reflected on those longer passes? Thanks!!

I've been looking out for any new specials too and FWIW my mom said a CM at the Disney store told her that there would be new ticket deals coming out on the 20th. I have no idea how reliable this info is, just thought I'd throw it out there.

No harm in waiting til the 20th for me. If there is a chance of a discount I'd rather wait to the last minute and only buy them when i have to. Can I buy online to get the savings the night before we leave and print something out? Or is that too late?

Actually I was just going to post exactly this strategy! Since the online ticket purchases are a printable voucher just wait until the day before you leave to do it. It's cheaper to do the online voucher than it is to buy them at the gate, so definitely go that line, but this way if a deal comes out last minute you haven't already bought them and lose out on the deal (because the tickets are non-refundable so once you bought them there is no further price reduction possible, lol).
