I have a 3 1/2 year old Verizon phone. It works, but it sure seems big--my students call it my "zack morris phone" after that kid from saved by the bell. I pay $30 plus tax each month for 300 anytime minutes plus unlimited night and weekend, free long distance, etc. I have gone over the minutes a few times in the last year. I am NOT on contract any more; it expired after 2 years. They have called several times to get me to reup for more $.
Circuit City has a sale where after a mail-in rebate any phone up to $200 is free. I can get a picture phone, or a little slider phone that is half the size of my phone now. I would have to pay $10 more a month but would get 1000 anytime minutes. So I would be paying $240 more over the next two years, the phone would be free, and I wouldn't have any overage charges. I could keep the same #.
Any advice? Anyone have any experience with the little slider phones or the camera phones? I know some places are banning them, but I probably wouldn't know how to use it anyhow.
