Should I try to switch to BC?

I have been to WDW twice and stayed at the BC each time. We ADORE the proximity to Epcot, so switching to AKL or one of the non-epcot resorts isn't om the game plan. So, I used my 40% off code to book two BW rooms December 7-15. The travel party is 4 adults, one DD8. My parents are in their 70's and my dad will be using a ECV the whole trip.
So, I am now regretting trying a new resort, the BW vs. the BC. The lack of an inside place to refill mugs...the fitness club looks smaller. Oh, what should I do?

So, can anyone give me advice? I am a HUGE Christmas lover...so do you find one resort more Christmasy than the other? Will the lack of self-serve sodas for my refillable mug be a deal-breaker?

Anyone, please post your opinion...I am waffling big time!!!!

Hello fellow Californian! We've stayed at both BC & BWI and BWI was our favorite. We've not been to either resort during the Christmas holidays, but I've seen the photos and BWI looks beautiful. The fitness center is a little smaller, but we were there each day and found it was not crowded and it had what we were looking for. Didn't do the refillable mugs at BWI, but I wouldn't consider the location for refills a deal breaker.

What room category do you have booked? Did you request connecting rooms?

I think you should try BWI. You may fall in love with the resort, as we did, and be ready to book it again for your next trip. :)

i haven't stayed at BWI yet. I did stay at BC over xmas and loved it. i loved the decorations at BC more than what i saw when i visited BWI. One of the things that keeps me from booking BWI is the lack of food court/refill mug accessibility. i really dislike the boardwalk bakery so i haven't booked there yet. i may consider my next solo trip without kids to BWI as I spend all of my time eating in Epcot anyway but with the kids it could be a problem.

make a list of the amenities most important to you and choose the one with the most. on another note, i have stayed at AKL as well. i love this resort! it is definitely me and i love the food there and pool. its only drawback is its location to me. depends again on your wants and which parks you plan to spend the most time it.

good luck making a decision.

We are booked in connecting rooms with one being handicapped accesible. Standard view. We stayed with the same configuration at the Beach CLub and had full balconies, pool view/water view in rooms on the second floor kind of right above the lobby...and paid for standard.
Maybe we were lucky, or they don't have the standard/connecting/handicapped.
We will have a car, so getting sodas and the like to stuff our fridge will be totally doable.
The slide in the pool at BW doses look fun. We are pool people, but we have done the BC one twice now. And my DD8 thinks all pools are the best. Stormalong bay, cool, the horrid little pool in the parking lot of a Motel 6, equally cool.
See, waffling. I am sure whatever we decide will be wonderful. I mean, really, December at WDW, what could go wrong with that?

Thanks again...hope to make up my mind one of these days!!!! Amy
