Should I switch?

I've started a general layout of the week & most of the dining options we've chosen are on the monorail line (CM,HDD,1900 Park, etc.) except CMC. I'm starting to think we should switch resorts to Poly or GF to cut down on travel time. We will be having early dinners to get back into the parks. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

From the Beach Club you're a short walk away from International Gateway, 15 minute walk through Epcot (stay left passing UK and Canada) exit to the monorail to TTC, at TTC pick up resort monorail for dining. Longer than staying at GF or Poly? Yes. But somewhat enjoyable. If you have a 6:00 PS, I would give yourself 1.5 hours for this, that way you won't feel rushed. It sorta adds to the adventure, and by staying at the BC you can still enjoy SAB and a walk to MGM.
Sorry, but I guess I like to walk!! Have fun!

Wow! that long? When I made the reservation for HDD PS for 5:00 they said to leave 1 hour early. Would that be enough time?

Back again. 1 hour? Probably not the way I'm taking you. They may have assumed you were driving? Maybe someone else can help you out here, but I think the only way to get to HDDR via Disney Transportation from the Beach Club is through the TTC? Which would mean the monorail from EC to TTC and a transfer to HDDR or something through DTD?

They may have told you 1 hour because they suggest that you arrive 30 minutes prior to seating.

I've never been asked to arrive any more then 10 mins before PS time. We stayed at AKL last time and it took us 1.5 hours for meals in the MK area. You have to take a bus to MK and then either a mono. or a boat. Same would be true of the BC but it might not take as long to get to the MK by bus from the BC. I bet the time depends on how many other resorts your bus stops at to make pick ups. I'm actually thinking the walk though EPCOT to the mono might be faster, depending on how fast you walk.

Why don't you check out GF or Poly? Both resorts are very nice. We've stayed at both-we just prefer GF. I like them both and you don't want to waste your vacation getting place to place. Staying on a monorail resort is SO convenient.

It would be faster and easier if you do stay on a monorail resort. Just take the monorail and you'll be at CR and Poly and GF in no time. And to get to WL, just take the boat to MK and from MK take the boat to WL. Very fast no hassle!

We stayed at the BC in May, but DH wanted to go to WC and we wanted to go to Chef Mickey's. So for the first 2 days a lot of our time was spent traveling to MK and then the hotels. As much as I liked the BC and my kids loved SAB, we have decided to stay near MK for future trips with the whole family.

I would look at availablity for GF and Poly. I think you will have a better time without all the travel. It took us a long time to get to and from the WL. I would have rather spent that time at the pool or the park.

I would resort hop if you'll be there a week. It's nice staying in both a monorail resort and an Epcot resort, so 3-4 days in each for a week long vacation would be great. WDW makes it easy to switch and will move the luggage. The hardest thing is packing things up for them to move.

Thanks for all of the advice. DH doesn't like Poly so I went on Deb's site last night to absorb all the info on GF (I knew nothing about that one). I'm thinking of switching to GF or split it up between GF & BC. Any feedback on resort hopping would be appreciated.
