Cheryl, I wouldn't do it. I like booking everything myself and being in full control. Someone has a thread going on the resort board telling how AAA screwed up her reservations for a trip in 2 weeks.

Here's the link: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1426974

I've just heard too many horror stories about AAA Travel.

The goodies aren't worth switching from free dining. The diamond pass is to park your car a bit closer, but you can park for free while staying on Disney property. You can normally get a really close parking spot and if not they do have trams to take you to the front. No need for the diamond parking pass.

All I have to say is NO DON"T do it!!!:scared1: We switched from Dreams last year to save 200.00 and it was a nightmare!! We had all kinds of issues with payment and our tickets and then the free dining came out and we didn't even get the room discount because we had to book a package. The few little perks they were advertising were not even worth it! Planet Hollywood had horrible food and was way overpriced and because we switched our package they said we now were not eligible for the free clock they were offering at the time. The only thing that came in handy was the one time we used the parking pass and you still end up walking. I say stick to doing it yourself or go with a Dreams Unlimited! I would pay them 200.00 just to have their awesome service!!!:thumbsup2

I wouldn't do it. I booked a package for Easter with AAA. I did it only because we could get a room discount with the DDP. I was not able to make changes, only the AAA agent was. I did not like losing that control. And I could never access the reservation. FYI, none of my requests were granted for my room location and I have never had this problem before. The promos they gave weren't worth the stress of not knowing.

We have booked with AAA before and never had an issue.

When you get a confirmation from AAA make sure your room requests are on it. Our AAA agent received the confirmation from Disney and she noticed that Disney didn't have the room requests she asked for us. She called Disney back and told them for the room requests once again and she got a new confirmation with the room requests on it. She had a feeling that they weren't going to be on it originally since she had a very moody CM when she made the request earlier.

I think it probably would depend on your AAA Agent.

I had a horrible one. I didn't trust her to get me the free dining, even though I carefully explained it all to me...and guess what? She could only get my 7th or 8th choice when she finally DID try.

Thankfully I trusted my gut and made my own reservation, (paid an additional deposit too), and then applied the free dining...I got my third choice, and a couple days ago, got my first choice! ASMo!

I had considered switching back to them, but I don't trust them anymore. I have had to make a few changes already and I'm glad I could do it myself. I didn't like having to go through her just to make changes! Thankfully I could do my own ADRs.

I also like to be in control of my own reservations, just the Virgo control freak in me. While I would love to save more money with AAA, I have just heard too many horror stories. This way, if things get messed up, I have no one to blame but myself!
