We are a family of four adults, with two mid 20's children. We are rope droppers who have been to WDW five or six times in 20 years, but not in the last 7 years. This will be a 3 day trip: arrive Monday evening leave Friday morning. We have stayed at both resorts before. I loved the atmosphere of the GF before (I have no idea why-the decor is meh, must be the location), and thought the Beach Club was ok but not overwhelming. However, I feel like we will want to go to DHS a couple a times because there is more new there and walk the Epcot countries once. If we stayed near Epcot we might also scoot over and do Soarin'. Since the monorail to Epcot isn't working it seems like Yacht Club is the best to minimize travel times. We will be park-hopping. IMO for grownups, the pools are equal. The plan is to rope-drop, eat TS lunch in the park, then come home to swim/nap and go back to the parks late afternoon/evening. The cost would be the same-ish. Who knows whether there will be fireworks by mid July when we go, so the theme park view is not quite what it would be. What am I not considering? Thanks!
