Should I switch from BWV to SSR? need help ASAP

Hmm, its a tough choice. Could you do a split stay? Or would that be to much trouble?

I say that because of the difficulty getting BWV (although I have no personal expirence, just going by what I read here so take that for what it is worth) and being close to the parks for a quick trip back for naps if necessary.

But also I say SSR because of it being quiet which might help with the autistic son and the zero-entry pool which sounds like what he needs. Plus you are in walking distance of DTD for the older kids who may want to try DQ and the shops at DTD if they want to get away from the folks (if this is allowed).

So its a tough call really. I haven't stayed at BWV but have at SSR and really really enjoy it there.

We absolutely love BWV, but the pool will not be good for your DS. There is a kiddie pool, but it is not that great. SSR not only has a zero depth entry pool, there is also a very nice water play area that the little ones love.
We are from the school that think your first visit should be at your home resort. BWV is much harder to book, but there will be plenty of times in the future for a trip to BWV.
The older teens will enjoy being so close to DTD also. There is also lot for teens on the boardwalk, but much less for your DS. BWV is a very active and stimulating place, it could be a case of over stimulation for your DS, especially after spending the day in the parks that are stimulation overload to the max.
All WDW's resorts are great, but IMO I would pick SSR for your upcoming trip. BWV is not going anywhere, it will still be there for a future trip.

If the pool is your main issue between the resorts. SSR would be a much better choice for your young ones.

SSr would do just fine with zero entry :cool1:
BWV has 2 pools and you can use the pool at the BWI all three have hot-tubs. :goodvibes

At BWV you can request 1st floor quiet pool area and walk out your door right to the pool. No zero entry but if your DS likes to sit on the steps it should be no problem. Community hall is right there for use by all your children.
Just request for medical reasons and see if they can do it.

At BWV your older children can walk or boat to 2 parks MGM and Epcot and be much easier to take afternoon breaks at resort.
If you never done BWV just think about giving it a try.
Either way SSR or BWV you can't go wrong. :thumbsup2

have fun where ever you stay :yay:

Thanks for all the great advice! I was able to add the nite of 7/29 to our BWV reserv this am. I am going to do some research on SSR;and then if they have a 2bdr. for the whole week will look into switching. Thanks so much for everyone taking the time to help! Angel
