I am not from Europe, but am planning my trip there for Apr 2010. I will be in London, taking the Eurostar to DLP. However we are a family of 6 (kids ages 14, 11, 7, 5) and I am on a bit of a budget. If I book 2 nights/ 3 days with DLP I pay $1500 USD for room and tickets. However, if I book Holiday Inn @ Disneyland Paris I can get a room for $150 per night, and only plan on doing the park for 1 day, so a hopper will cost $486 for all of us. That's a huge savings, but my question is....

- Is it best to stay onsite for the convenience? Experience? Quality of service? Less stress to an American travelor?

- Should I book a Eurostar/DLP package? if so do I do it on the Eurostar website?

Hmm, a tricky one this.

Have you been to Disneyland or Disneyworld in America? If so I think you may feel let down by the Hotel standards at DLRP as they are not the same in Europe as the are in the USA. One big plus of the onsite hotels in DLRP is that they are actually onsite (max of 20 minute walk) unlike the onsite hotels at WDW in Florida.

Personally I'd stay onsite, have the three day hoppers that you will get with your booking and you might find that you spend more than 1 day at the parks (in a quiet time you'd need at least three days to appreciate all that both parks have to offer tbh)

tbh i would stay onsite. i love getting up in the morning and knowing im not more than a 20 min walk or a 2 min bus ride away. i agree with capn jack the hotel standards are not the same. but as long as you know this before you go you shouldnt be dissapointed. if you think you and your family would fare well with shuttles and could do with saving the money for elsewhere then offsite may be the way to go. sorry i cant be of more help.

If you are absolutely 100% positive that you will only spend one day in the parks at DLRP on your stay there, then offsite, with the prices you've quoted, would be the way to go.

You won't be able to see and do everything DLRP has to offer in one day though.

The Holiday Inn, although it states its "offsite" is actually at the end of the road, and across a junction, from where the onsite hotels are. There are regular free shuttles from the Holiday Inn to the parks which run all day every day. The shuttles take no more than about 8 minutes from hotel to parks.

Book Eurostar separately, its invariable cheaper, and its the same services which Disney provide.
