Should i sell my engagement ring now or will it be more valuable if i wait?

Its half a carat diamond, 18k wht gold and it was valued at 4k but got it for 1500.00 at a jewlery depot type store. The clarity is excellent

A recession is a bad time to sell jewelry. The market is glutted. Lots of places aren't even buying at this point. If you don't need the money now I'd wait.

OP, if you purchased your ring for $1500, that is probably what it is worth. For some reason jewellers frequently give an 'enhanced' valuation for items they sell.
