I have not stayed at AKV and we are staying there for 2 nights in July. We do have a savanna view....should I make a floor request?? Thanks

I prefer to be on a lower floor because it puts you closer to the animals. We stayed on the 2nd floor of AKL once and we were at eye level with the giraffes. It was our best animal view ever but unfortunately it's not an option if you are staying at AKV/Jambo House. But since it is an option at Kidani, that is what we'll be asking for when we stay there.

I think you're probably right, Lisa. I had a 5th floor 1-bedroom Savanna View, about mid-way down the hall (Room 7534; on the Jambo side, near the Zazu elevator!) - and although the view was amazing, 2nd floor would have been awesome! :thumbsup2

There were plenty of animals on Sunset Savanna and I found them particularly entertaining in the early evening! :) (figures there were no animals out in the morning when I wanted to take pictures! :rotfl2:)

We were on the lobby level at Kidani last month and it was excellent! 2nd floor.

We were in a lobby-level (2nd floor, I think...) studio and had an awesome view! Then we were moved into a 1-bedroom on the 4th floor and had a harder time seeing the animals, because the treetops were blocking the view.

I'm going to request a 2nd floor room for our October trip!

Sounds like if you have savanna view lower level would be great and if you have standard view, maybe upper floors would be better to avoid traffic noise??

The very bottom I am assuming are NOT rooms??? :lmao: I mean.....animals could walk right up to your door.

5 floors but the lower one is parking (essentially a basement level) so 4 floors with rooms. I was on the 4th floor and still had a great view. There are invisible fences about 30-40 from the buildings, which keep the animal from getting to close. The 2 br (dedicated) we were in felt much bigger than any of the other 2brs except OKW.

I requested the 2nd floor at Kidani this afternoon. SO since parking is really ground level....do you think the request people that be....will think we meant the 3rd floor??

No from the room numbering I am reasonabley sure that they will understand that you want the first room floor which is the second floor.
