I never envisioned me asking this question. Walking is a hobby of mine and something I did dailly for 5 miles easily at a clip. A knee surgery derailed me in the fall. I have physically recovered but am left with a biomechanical issue now where my knee bones want to rotate out despite PT, chiro adjustments, etc. I can walk around a mall fine, downtown disney will be fine, the hotel will be fine...I just can't wrap my head around Epcot and DHS, my two park choices this summer. If i walk TOO much my knee aches, swells a little and just numbs...Is there a difference between scooter and ECV? We will have a split stay between POFQ and YC CL. If I rent from apple where do I park the chair at night? Is it a hassle to navigate in one? Any advice is so appreciated...

I was in a similar situation as you when we went to WDW last week. I am able to walk, just not for long periods of time. I ended up renting a small 3 wheel ECV from Apple. I think it was a good decision. It was very easy to drive. I was able to back up and park it on the buses after only a day of practice. It kept a charge all day. My dd and I had a room at Pop which I expect was smaller than your room, and there was plenty of space to bring it in the room at night and charge it.
Let me know if you have any specific questions, I will be happy to answer them.
