Should I renew our DC membership?

Hi,
Our DC membership expires on Dec. 15th., and I'm debating on whether or not to renew it.

We do have a trip scheduled in May, so I thought I'd see what others here have done, and what they think about it.

I renewed mine, last month. If you do, you have till the 12th I believe to renew, after that you're out of luck. I renewed because of the $50 room credit on my next DCL cruise made it more than pay for itself. $29 for renewal, I've already saved $21

I figured it will make for another souvenir to remember another thing they cancelled!

My DD will get the first while I will keep the new!

I just renewed mine today. The discount at the Disney Store makes it worthwhile for me. Plus I hope to go to DL in Feb, and WDW in Oct and again next Christmas.

I am going to renew mine since they pro-rate it and I will be going to WDW in August. Plus I have gone to two free screenings of the movies and I use it at the disney store. I feel the card pays for itself.

You know, i called the Disney Club tonight to look at our options too. We are AP holders and the lady at the Disney Club said that for tickets, resort discounts etc... our AP's would be great to have - that that was a good part of the reason the DC was ending. Yes, we do go to the DS here at home but i am not sure if the renewal , for us, is worth the added investment.

I will renew mine, I am really going to miss the DS discount and discount on the park tickets as well. Mine expires 3-2003.......how long do I have to renew that?

You can only renew until Dec 12. They will prorate how much they charge you!

I just renewed mine yesterday. I was slated to expire in May, my pro-rated renewal was around $19.

The discount at the DS is worth it to me, plus we are buying APs in January, so hope to get one more trip in.

My DC membership expired at the end of October. Could I still renew before the 12th and if so, could I still use the DC to get the discount on the park hopper tickets that we'll need for our August trip? Thanks in advance.

As far as using the DC for hopper pass discounts, it's my understanding that this will no longer be possible. The 'new' thing is to pre-order the passes to save $$.

I renewed mine last month b/c of DS discount and we will be taking another trip in 2003. I used the DC discount in DTD quite a bit! I'm going to miss the discount.

I will be renewing mine b/c we are cruising 12/6-13 and I need the card for my $50 credit, and also to use at DTD before the cruise.

We are renewing; but I'm waiting until the 11th to do it. Also, it's the only way to get a discount on APs. The savings at TDS alone are worth it to me. We've also gotten to go to two screenings; which we have loved!
