We want to eat at the Rainforest Cafe for my DS's birthday.
These are the reasons I don't know whether to PS or not

Against:
We are arriving that afternoon at LAX and going via Hollywood for DS to see the Walk of Fame. I'm well aware we may hit rush hour traffic on our way to Anaheim, not to mention we may end up flight delayed or something.

Theoretical times
2.40pm Arrive LAX
3.10pm Leave in Rental car
3.50pm Arrive Hollywood
4.50pm Leave Hollywood (right on rush hour, hmpf)
6.50pm Arrive HoJos assuming worst traffic

So I wondered about making a PS for 8.30pm

For:
I don't want to miss out
We have food allergies that they need to know about

We don't want a cake, so it doesn't matter from that perspective, and I dont care if we have to wait for a little while. But how long are we likely to need to wait if we don't PS?

What would you do?

I could be wrong but I don't think that it would hurt to have the PS in place and then if you are running late you could call and cancel. :confused3

Depending on what day you plan on going kinda determines how the wait time will be w/out a PS. Sometimes it can be a long wait like 45 min. I would make one just in case.

You didn't hear this from me because I would NEVER do this....:rolleyes1

Make one for you at 8:30, then have someone else in your party call and make one for later. Cancel whichever one looks like you won't be able to attend. Ah...gotta go before the yelling starts! :rotfl:

We waited 30 minutes with a PS so I would have hated to know what the wait was for those without one. I would make one!!!!

Unless it has changed recently, Rainforest Cafe in DTD @ DLR only has PS for their safari club members, otherwise it is first come, first served.

We have been going there for years and always make a PS before we go (and until this year, we were not Safari Club members). On the recording they have on the Disney Dining line they tell you to call Rainforest Cafe directly for a PS. :)
