Should I plan to go to EE days in Late September?

I have noticed a lot of post about avoiding EE days at the parks but I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice about using EE days in late September when the crowds are smaller?
We are going to WDW Sept. 27 - Oct 2 and I thought since it seems to be not as busy this time of year we might go ahead and take advantage of the EE days but if all of the parks are still going to be extra crowded because of the EE days I will plan to avoid them. Any advice?

The only reason that I did is because the park hours are so much shorter. I figure the extra hour will help. If they get packed (doubtful in sept.) then we will go somewhere else for the afternoon.
