Should I pack long pants for HH next week?

I know it will be hot during the day, but does it cool off at night so much that we should bring long pants? Will long pants be necessary for dinner, or are nice shorts acceptable at all restaurants? We plan on eating one night at Charlie's Crab, which is the only restaurant that I wonder if shorts might be too casual. I have my outfits all set, I'm really just wondering about DH and my boys (12 & 13). Any ideas? Thanks!

You won't be turned away from any restaurants for wearing nie shorts.

The temps will certainly make shorts more appropriate than long slacks, so you don't need to make any elaborate changes to your packing plans.

We will also be at HH next week (I'll be the one wearing shorts!) ;)

Enjoy!

If you're going to be spending a lot of time outside in the evening you might want to bring slacks just to keep the bugs from biting. They can be vicious!

Glad to see I won't be the only one there without any long pants. I'll be in shorts all week. We have the private affair booked on wed night. This is our first trip to HH.

We haven't had use for long pants here in SC for several weeks (and its been rather cool for this time of year from what I hear!). I would, however, plan for bug protection...whether the pants or bug spray (try Bite Blocker....I love this stuff! Its natural, smells good and works!).

There are a few places where you'd be out of place for dinner like Old Fort Pub, CQ, Alexander's, Charlestons and the like. You have nothing to worry about at Charlie's Crab other than you may be overdressed.

Good, that's one less thing I have to pack; I 'll just make sure to bring plenty of bug spray!

Doc and jag90-have a great trip! :earsboy:

When we ate at Charley's Crab, everyone seemed to be more dressed up more than just shorts.
