Should I or Shouldn't I, MVMCP Ticket Question

We are going to spend the week of Dec 11 to Dec 19 at the World. I've been planning this family trip for over 6 months now, and finally able to start making serious plans. I'm going with my DH, DD 18, DD 8, Mom, Dad, DS 19 DDIL 19 and DGS 3 months (he's not here yet) My problem is this, My DS is in the Army and is now in Bagdad. He has no idea when he is coming home, but rumor has it sometime in November.... but no guarantee, maybe not until the first of next year, my question is do I buy him a MVMCP ticket with the hopes that he can come with us, or do I only buy for who I'm sure will go and hope to get a ticket for him when we are sure he can come. We are planning to go to MVMCP on Tuesday December 16th. What would you do??? Thanks for the help

I know some one must have an opinion, what would you do???

My gut feeling is to wait, but I'm a little afraid that it might get sold out, does anyone know how hard it is to get tickets a coupld of weeks from when we want to go?

I've read that it's mostly the Friday night events which get sold out. Many people have spoken how they even bought tickets the day of the party for slower evenings such as Tuesday or Thursday. Personally, I would buy tickets for the others in the family and wait for a closer time to buy your son's, if he can make it back to the states by then.

Thanks KSgirl.... I knew someone would know... I was just thinking that if it sold out I would be mad at myself, but didn't want to spend the money if I didn't have to. I think I will wait now, If worst comes to worst we might be able to beg a ticket from disney.

Thanks also for thanking my son, I'm very proud of him, and he is very proud to be in Iraq right now. I'm just very sorry he will miss the birth of his first child..... I'm praying he will be home for this trip that I've been planning since long before he got orders to go to Iraq...

Even the Friday nights don't sellout until about November, so I would wait. We went on Tuesday Dec 10 last year and got tickets the same day. We usually buy them when we check-in on Saturday but the weather forecast was very iffy, they were having alot of rain last December. First they said Tuesday would rain and Thursday would be good, so I was going to buy Thursday but decided to wait. It cleared up Tuesday afternoon and Thursday looked bad, so we decided to get the tickets for that night. Good thing, because Thursday night was torrential rain, Tuesday night was warm and dry.
