I've tried to do an internet search to find this rooster, but have had no luck. Sounds to me like you have a one of a kind piece of art. It might be very valuable one day!

Now, if you are feeling a little guilty, you can tell your MIL that strange sounds started coming from the box & you had to open it. Maybe then, she'll get you another gift for Christmas
