Should I make a request for a certain floor at BLT?

It might be too late anyway..since we check in a week from today. Just kind of slipped my mind. I know that some people like to stay on the same floor of the connecter/breezeway to the CR (not even sure what floor that is) but besides that...is it worth making a request? My 13 year old son and I are booked in a studio lake view. We have a split stay of 4 nights there and 4 at SSR. Thanks for any help.

Because of BLT's compact layout, I feel its easy and quick to get to the BLT-CR walkway, the lobby, the pool, the laundry, etc., from any villa. In my opinion, you gain little by actually being on the fifth floor. I think the question you have to ask yourself is whether you prefer a high floor or a low floor. Personally, I prefer a higher floor and an even-numbered villa. The even-numbered villas are on the outside of the BLT, while the odd-numbered villas face the inside toward the pool.

We've always requested even number, high floor. And so far, we've been very fortunate. We've had 8028 (studio), 8108 (studio), and 8142 (1BR).

I asked for upper floor and an even numbered studio. We shall see.

Are there multiple elevator banks at BLT? We always request close to the main elevators at BCV and close to the elevators at BWV. We are staying at BLT for the first time in January so I will request either close to main elevators or close to elevators. Just something else to think about.

BLT has two banks of elevators that are located an equal distance apart along BLT's crescent shaped layout. As I said before, BLT's compact layout means that all villas are relatively close to either bank of elevators. Naturally, there are some villas that are closer to an elevator than other villas. But the distance from the furthest located villa to the nearest elevator is no way near as long as some of the distances at BWV.

Ha good luck. We made a request and literally got the exact opposite of what we requested. I know requests aren't guaranteed, but it felt like they didnt even consider our request. Still a little bitter about that one.

I just finished checking in on line and I thought the request choices were odd. (I am staying in a studio.)
One request option was for a balcony. I thought all of the units had balconies. Another choice was to be near the walkway. As I recall, all of the other choices were for floors - most options were for particular floors from ninth floor or higher (although not every floor in this range was listed) and there was one choice to request a "lower floor." With the on line check in there was no option to request an even or number room.

The villas on the 1st floor have patios instead of balconies.

I, too, think, the online choices are rather odd for BLT. Perhaps the reason they don't offer an 'even-number/odd-number' option is because a lot of BLT guests don't understand or know what that option really means.

No, it doesn't. All BLT villas classified as being in the Theme Park (MK) View category have even numbers and face outward.
