Should I make a “special room request”?

We have a couple of ECV users and I booked a 2-br “FL special” accessible room at OKW. I made a request in MDE online check-in for a ground floor in the Peninsular Rd area. Do you think I should have it noted on our reservation we need a ground floor for mobility purposes or is it redundant because we book an “accessible” room?

I recommend calling (407)-939-1936 to ensure your requests are noted in your reservation. Three (3) buildings at OKW have elevators in buildings 62, 63, and 64. There may be Accessible rooms on floors other than floor 1 just like in other resorts that have elevators.

FL Special Accessible are not necessarily ground floor — you would need “Wheelchair Accessible” to guarantee that. I suggest you prioritize your room requests and note the ECVs. In fact, I would probably just do the 1 request of “ground floor.”
