Would you let your 12 year old daughter go to a Lady Gaga concert with her friend and friends Mom? I am not very familiar with this pop star and the content of her music.

Um google the lyrics to Beautiful Dirty Rich. Not something I would want my 12 year old listening to.

Does your DD want to go? Does she listen to Lady Gaga?

I don't have kids so IDK what is appropriate or inappropriate for various ages, but if you want a point of reference, see if you can find her MTV VMA performance on youtube

No way! Lady gaga is nuts! also look up the lyrics for poker face! watch some of here videos! who knows what that lady will do on stage

There is NOT a chance in heck I'd let my 12 yr. old go see her!!!!!!

She hears it on the radio all the time. I am going to look up the lyrics....

No, but I am fairly conservative. I haven't listened to much of her songs--but the photos I have seen of how she dresses..ummm....no.

Not a chance, way too racy for that age.

I probably would. My kids are younger than 12 and have a few Lady Gaga songs on their Ipods.

No.

Look up the lyrics to LoveGame

I think she might be ok to just listen to, as I didn't really know what things meant at that age. But actually seeing her perform I don't think would be appropriate from what I have seen in her music videos and performances.

I don't think actually listening to the songs is the worst thing you can do. It's her performances and acts that are bad and "out there". Obviously her songs are very catchy and upbeat.

NO!!!!!!!!!!

There are several songs that my kids listen to and the words and their meanings go right over their heads. With LG's stage show, it would smack them right in the face with what she is actually saying.

I can think of several concerts that I would spend my money on, but this isn't even close to hitting my list.

I've seen her perform on the VMA's and on SNL. She's definitely bizarre but I kind of like her. She's more than just a singer, she's a performer. :) But honestly, I don't really know what her songs mean. I just think they're catchy.

This argument has been going on forever. I remember in high school we weren't allowed to name our yearbook What a Long Strange Trip It's Been, even though we weren't talking about that kind of trip. :)

Exactly!!!

Well my 13yodd has never been to a concert ever, so I would say no.

As far as Lady Gaga's music, eh, I should even be so lucky that she would actually like "pop music". She does like "Poker Face". :lmao:

My kids are into alternative and she wants to go to a "Disturbed" or "Nine Inch Nails" concert. Um, no freaking way!
